What can I say, little green growing things just make me happy.....

My houseplant collection used to number 60+, but Ive whittled that down to around 20 or so. My cats fondness for anything with large, flat leaves has encouraged me to focus more attention lately on cacti and succulents, which Ive discovered is a very addictive plant group! I also have a weakness for tropical plants.

Trying out different combinations of color, shape, and texture is one of my favorite pastimes, whether its with paints on a canvas, or with plants in a garden bed.

I live in one of the historic neighborhood in midtown, Memphis, and love walking around and appreciating what my neighbors are doing in their yards. When I moved in just a few years ago, my yard was home to only one sad little holly bush (which I promptly cut down -- i didnt want to impale my foot on its thorny little leaves anymore!). Im slowly creating beds and planting trees, and enjoying watching my garden grow!
