With our water supply consisting only of what we catch off half (so far) of our roof, my husband and I necessarily use and re-use every drop to it's fullest. We are hooked up to the electric grid but hope to provide most of our power from solar panels when money allows. This lifestyle has made us become very aware of the power and water needs of appliances, different gardening methods, etc. Yes, though our house is small and in the desert, limiting the amount of water available to us, we do have a garden.
