Just a couple of quicks stories. Ten years ago I had the opportunity to wander through the Everglades with a friend with a degree in Botany. I left the swamp with a new set of distinctions, terminology and fond memories. Last year I bought a generic holday plant for a house gift. While I shopped I admired some orchids. The thoughts of the orchids never left me and now, (so far), I have three. In past years my mother has always put out a single feeder for hummingbirds and never saw one. Last summer I bought a bunch of fuchia plants and even more feeders. Success! She had the little things in the yard all day long. I am very new at this. I would like to use this fabulous website as a resource to help me create a few flower gardens and enrich my life.
