Hi Im Petal

I come from a very large family of eight children and now there are 36 grandchildren and Im a great aunt.I dont have kids of my own but I can borrow any age at any time.
My husband and I bought a nice old Victorian its 106 yrs old and we just keep working on it.I have four/ac but only one quater is wooded. The wooded area is very old and has alot of rare trees on it.The back pasture was cleared for horses in the past and then was left for scrub ,my husband cleared it by hand to save the small native trees in it and were have since planted all types of trees.I LOVE TREES.
My gardening style is live and let live but if you get too pushy III cut ya back to size.I adore flowers and I plant a small veggie garden for the two of us but as we all know we get more that what we can use ,so I give any extra to the food bank each week during growing season and harvest.Only living plants I dont like are stinging nettle,in the lawn thisel, bugel weed(I have to dig out every year)and poison oak and ivy.

Had a friend say "you cant tell people you love trees and then say you like "wood working and carving". I said beauty is in birth as well as in death. For too few things truly live on like the life in a tree, what ever its form. OK ya Im a sap...
maybe some day I can put some pic on my info..Thanks
