I'm a newbie to gardening. 35 years ago my grandparents introduced me to their garden, and I loved it. I never thought of producing my own food as an adult, until this past September when a visit to Big Lots yielded for me a ***big lot*** of end of season seed packets for $10.00 USD. Some 1700 packages, I decided to plant a few. What a turnout, all but the chives came up, and I'm loving not paying for veggies any more. Who would have thunk it, Nov and I have veggies in TX (lucky warm fall I guess). I'm hooked, and really enjoy the food aspect of this hobbie.
