Ive recently retired to what I call a "Goldilocks" climate--not too hot, not too cold,but just right for growing a tremendous variety of plants. The property has over 60 rhodendrons as well as mountain laurel and azaleas,a sight to behold in the Appalachian spring. My first project was the erection of a hobby greenhouse to protect my tropical bonsai and citrus which I brought from my prior residence. I completed the local Master Gardeners course last spring, put in 40 hours manning the garden hotline at the county agents office, and look forward to repeating the experience this spring.
