I did lots of gardening when I lived in the UK, but then I married a lovely Ozzie, moved to Sydney and have been busy running our business - nothing to do with gardening! for the last 6 years, with no garden to look after, and no time even if there had been a garden! We have just moved - only round the corner, into a rented 'garden appartment', its very nice, with large patio beds running around three sides, and masses of windows/doors giving full view of all the garden beds. The owners of the property were terrible gardeners, so we have inherited a garden that needs lots of TLC. I now have no excuse not to start learning to garden 'down under'! My problem is that because we do not own the property, there is no point in spending too many $.But with time, pruning, fertilising and feeding, a few more plants, lots of annuals, and trying to rescue some of the sick plants, I am sure we will have a lovely garden.
