Hi My name is Pauline. I have a passion for roses and living in Whyalla it is a real challenge to grow them well. Without my very supportive husband Allen I would not be able to carry out growing roses as I have a chronic back problem. There is nothing more beautiful than a beautiful rose and I do love picking them. I have had some difficulty in fertilizing my roses around the back as our dog Sadie thinks that most fertilisers have been put down just for her. This year I am spraying Seasol on my roses around the back and I am reasonably happy with the results. When I look through the rose forums a lot of the roses I have never heard of. Maybe i am old fashioned with my roses. I love the Hybrid T.s and have started growing David Austen roses with pleasing results. Including miniatures I have about 60 roses. As money is tight I enjoy the rose forum as I can't afford to buy expensive books.
