Three years ago we tiered our backyard and have filled the area with many varieties of perennials with annuals interspersed here and there for quick color. I belong to the local garden and daylily clubs. Because we live in North Dakota there are some plants that arrive in our local stores that are not hardy because of our cold winters. I so wanted to have my butterfly bush survive the winter but alas it did not. I am now planting flowers that our zoned for our area.
