I started gardening in desperation for color after many years in a blossomless city, but Ive found myself slowly (or not so slowly) drawn into several currents of (semi-obsessive) plant collecting.

Initially, it was flowering vines, which still interest me, but I have lots now and dont feel the need to spend all my time tracking down the ones I dont have, though the urge does hit from time to time.

Now, I am mainly collecting interesting and rare taros/elephant ears, brugmansias, miniature hostas, Chinese clivias, daylilies, lilies (that will take our heat!), some brightly colored bearded irises, crinums, morning glories, canna lilies, annuals (staples for Southern gardeners) and who-knows-how-many others.

Im enjoying sharing ideas, plants and seeds with other internet gardeners around the country and around the world.
