i have a 7 acre garden that contains just about one of everything. i guess its a fine example of botanical whoredom. did i mention i can cut the grass in 12 minutes? my garden is mostly beds and paths with one small area of turf.

i have large collections of palms, ginger lilies, bamboo, camellias, azaleas, conifers, hostas, natives, cacti and succulents, trilliums, cannas, elephant ears, wildflowers, magnolias, amaryllis, daffodils, epimediums, hydrangeas......oh gosh, i could go on , but you get the idea. however, i have refused to plant a bradford pear and you wont see a hybrid tea rose on my place! LOL

roaming the garden youll also find a deaf great dane named keller, a black great dane named lug, a blue dane named moultrie, several parrots in my garden aviary, and 2 rat terriers named gardenia and terry. whew!

im always ready for spring the day after our first frost (which is sometime in nov). im not a cold weather person and it shows because i think alabama winters are too long. i hate the time change because it barely allows time for yardplay after work...especially in dec and jan when the days are the shortest. i was definitely meant to live on a tropical island, but since i dont i have tried to recreate one of my own. a pina colada anyone?

and my final thought.....how come voles never eat the weeds?
