Female in zone 5. Trying to learn from this board about house plants, and I am improving instead of giving the last-rites to all of my plants.

I started with housplants about four times, and they all passed away except one philo. When to fertilize, how to water each plant, not to over-water, when to repot, and what plants like low light. So much to learn! I also came to the conclusion to walk around nurseries and see what they offer, write down the names, and come home and READ ON GOOGLE. I also came to the conclusion the nurseries and some of their vendors have NO IDEA what different plants are and neither do all the employees.

This forum has led me in the right direction, so needless to say I am trying to stay on the road to learning.

My favorite plant was the lucky bamboo, since I have luck with this, stick it in gravel and water, and there she grows. Fun plant. The other plant that I am enjoying so much is the pony tail, maybe because it lives. Cute plant though.
