Hi -- I live in God's Country (Montana) and garden in Missoula and up at Flathead Lake. The gardening I do at the lake is primarily shade and deer-resistant gardening, though we have had deer munch on our tulips here in town, also. I have only been gardening since 1997, the year my father, who was a gardener extraordinaire, died and I moved his peonies, asters, phlox and johnny jump-ups to my house. They have flourished and were the beginning of my garden.

I love gardening, pressing and drying flowers and have recently begun pounding flowers (though at first thought it was a cruel things to do to my beloved flowers!) and using the designs on t-shirts, towels and napkins.

I also love my grandchildren -- two darling boys, who especially like the balloon flowers ("Grandma, are you going to make those flowers that pop again this year. . .")and my Bleeding Heart (ladies in a bathtub). We all love Emma, our beloved Springer Spaniel, and Emma loves the garden and NEVER digs!
