I moved from San Jose to the Sierra Nevada mountains in CA in 1996. It was easy to garden in SJ with it's mild climate and I paid little attention to which tomato variety I planted, they all seemed to taste just fine. I now live at 3200' where in the summer, the days are warm to hot and the evenings cool. I have found it challenging to grow tasty tomatoes here. I am on a quest to find the perfect tomato for my area. So far I have tried around 100 varieties (both hybrids & heirlooms). I have found a few keepers, but know that there are many more to be discovered.
I am active in our local master gardening program and have put on the tomato tasting at our farmers market.

I live in: United States

My zone is: z7 Sierra

My favorite forum 1 is Growing Tomatoes.
