Just purchased 43 acres with 3 acre pond. Half open field, half woods. One large stream drains from pond into larger creek on back of property. This has a boggy area. Semi retired. Plan to spend rest of my life gardening. Always have large vegetable garden. Grow variety of ornamentals, esp. daylillies, iris, hosta, roses, daffodils, small bulbs. Have fruit trees with antique apples grafted onto them.
Dislikes: deer, voles, variegated foliage, except on some hostas.
Likes: Perenials like roses, viburnums, camelias, peonies, daylilies, hosta. Especially fragrant varieties. Small fruit- raspberries, blueberries, blackberries.
Want to plant waterlillies in pond, swamp cypress, other conifers, variety of deciduous and ornamental trees, berries, etc. Eventually want a walled garden.
In need of tractor with auger, etc.
