Former apartment/ container gardener, new homeowner. I come from a farm family, and my father is one of those green thumbs who likes to try plants that \"can't grow here.\" I am fixing up a former rental house, creating a cottage woodland garden with natives in the front. In the back, I am doing a butterfly garden, and I plan on doing a raised vegetable/herb garden next year (the rainy cold Spring delayed all plantings this year, and it's only my first year in the house).
