After waiting 10 years for my husband to show an interest in gardening & plants, he chose cactus!
Now we jointly garden about an acre around an old cottage on the Fiery Creek Goldfield. Old fashioned plants, perennials, roses, bulbs and fruit trees, with a corner especially for natives.
We both have a passion for propagation, and having added two sons and a daughter to the world's population now confine ourselves to increasing the plant kingdom and especially love trying new things from seed.
My first venture into gardening was the complete vegie bit. As a 70's refugee from the city, really a country girl getting back to the land, I really loved putting that home grown food on the table. It all largely went by the way when I had children and didn't have the time or energy for large scale gardening, but always found time for a few tomatoes.
Just getting back into it in a big way and having a ball.
