I discovered gardening about 8 years ago, and it now obsesses me almost totally. My home is on Long Island on about an acre of mostly shaded woods, which I've slowly been planting and developing into a woodland garden. I've only just come across the Shade Garden site and feel like I've struck the mother lode of information and kindred spirits.
