We started collecting orchids back in the 1970's while living in the Caribbean but because of moving from country to country we had to back off for a while. We started again a few years ago and in 2002 built a small hobby greenhouse since windowsill culture was not working well. We grow mostly Cattleyas family and Vandaceous species, with some Oncs, Phals and mixed species. We collect rainwater for use in watering and in the summer put most plants in an outside, temporary shadehouse.
