I have a hummingbird garden overlooking Long Island Sound on the north shore of Long Island. I grow salvias, cardinal plant and vine, plus a lot of tropicals, some of which overwinter inside. I love mandevilla, cycads, bougainvillea but I have some roses and daylilies too. Because LI winters are too long, I escape every year to another seaside garden on the obscure Bahamian island Eleuthera, where I grow palms (coconuts, royals, triangle, fishtail, buccaneers, Veitchii etc) and flowers (hibiscus, allamanda, canna, adeniums in pots). But most of the time I am trying to earn the money to keep all this going!
