HI, I moved to a new house a few years ago, when I moved in the whole front yard was full of Hostas. I am finally getting around to thinning them out and planting some other plants to give some variety. I don’t know their variety but they have large green leaves (not as big as Sum and Substance) and lavender flower spikes that can reach 36 inches tall. They bloom in early July for almost the full month. I also have a lot of Lilly of the Valley, and some yellow Creeping Sedum. I have some Scilla Siberica that I can dig in the fall also.
I am interested in trading any of these items for anything on my want list. Let me know if we can help each other out.
Update May 06
I have been in my house for 7+ years now and with the help of a lot of GW members I have done a nice job on the front yard, I still have a lot of hostas, always enough for trading, but I have some nice variety out there now.
With all the trading I’ve done in the last few years I find myself getting more and more interested in tropicals. I now have a garden of pots filled with tropical plants in my back yard that rivals the garden in my front yard. This past year I had to bring about 50 pots into the house for the winter. The banannas, epis and other tropical plants and flowers took up quite a bit of space in my dining room. Fortunately some of the plants like the hedychium gingers, figs, elephant ears, etc. went dormant and so I just put those in the basement. If I want to trade with you for some of your tropicals please do your best to discourage me. If I persist however you might as well let me have it, we’ll eat in the living room next winter. :~)
I have a lot of plants that are not on my trade list. If you have something I really want I can probably work out a trade you’ll like. Looking forward to a lot more trading in the years to come. Best wishes and happy gardening.
