I live in the city have large front yard and side yard it was all grass when we got here not anymore I dug up grass and sifted(by hand)the dirt from the grass thru chicken wire . We now have a decent size pond (with fish, frogs and of course water plants)That is hubbys baby I put a brick path(hand dug) up to the bench and dwarf cherry tree. I work for a company that I water plants in office builings it's fun doing something you like doing I spend any free time in garden any patch of dirt is chock full of flowers .I used to support the neighborhood Home Depot and nurseries not after all the great trades I got on garden Web I ll only buy basics no more seeds or plants they ll wonder what happened to me knew me by name(ha-ha) my hubby won t have to take me seed shopping I m now addicted to this place made Hubby says where will you put all those plants I said I will fit them all I love sharing . I also help plant in my neighborhood gardens. I love having my own little paradise as the cars drive by you can t really see in the side garden for I grow sunflowers and tall cosmos on one perimeter and rose bushes and forsythia on the other not to mention all the vines on the fence.I took master gardening classes.I love anything to do with gardening.Would like to do it for a living someday. I am a mother of 5 grandmother of 11. I only have my 19 year old still at home part of the year when she is not away at college the best teenager anyone could want on the deans list(bragging)The people at GardenWeb are a great group Thanks to all of you who have traded with me or offered SASE to make my plant collecting go to where I never thought it could be.I have met some of you and it has been a pleasure.Patty
