Long, long-time gardener. Been gardening in the same back yard for 25+ years. Over the years I've laid out and planted many different garden areas, dug them all up and moved or rearranged everything. I've killed a lot of perennials through stupidity or ignorance, i.e.,planting things in the wrong place - too much/not enough sun, too wet/dry, etc. Digging things up and moving large clumps of dirt has given me surprises: a root of something I thought I'd killed grows back years later in its new location into a healthy plant and I have to figure out what it is. I love these surprises! I like to experiment and find or try to grow exotic or strange, new plants - especially starting from seed from something from the supermarket produce dept - haha.
