Im a hobbyist gardener and artist. Much of my "work" uses live plants and plant materials, and thematically focuses on micro- and macroeconomic systems, hyper-hybridization, modern agricultural practice/research and the "botany of desire". Im also interested in genomics/bioinformatics, and the effect of invasive non-native species on ecosystems in the US.

Because of location Im limited to container gardening mostly, although I have a strip of garden alongside my house which Im trying to xeroscape with native plants. Im a member of the New England Wildflower Society, and Mass Hort.

As a hobbyist, I love tropical plants (citrus, passiflora, banana, etc) and have a small collection. Recently Ive begun to experiment with hydroponics. So far so good.
