I am working on growing catnip hydroponicly. I took 10 lg. kittylitter pans ,put holes in half of them, and left the other half for holding the nutrients and the overflow drain. I have a 55gallon nutrient tank below the row of the 5 growing pans.I use perlite and vermiculate in the pans, with the millions and millions of holes.(seems like it when you are drilling them)I use maxi grow and maxi bloom for nutrients. I've raised 2 crops so far. I seeded, they grew, I cut them ,they grew back,I cut them again, then the fun started. I sure had fun growing those two crops and taking it in garbage bags to a couple of the cat shelters up here. The catnip didn't grow back the third time. The sticks got rotten and lo and behold the Fungus Nats came. I've got the system all torn down and the Fungus nats are in the aquarium, next. They are living in the space between the water and the top of the tank. I have them blocked off with a piece of material taped around the top of the aquarium.Any ideas how to get them out of my aquarium so I can set my hydroponics up and running again. We replumbed the system a little and I got a new and better pump, from 145gph to 295gph.At the end of the last growing the catnip got leaf spot. There is some stuff called \"sm- 90\" that is supposed to help insects and funguses. Has anyone else used this product? Does it work? Thank-you. I have lots of questions.lol
