I gave up veggie gardening a few years ago and have since focused on both perennial and annual flowers and various ornamental grasses. So much more rewarding!!

I've been gathering seeds from my annuals and some perennials and trade them with friends, aunts etc. I have good luck starting them. This winter I am going to start perennials indoors with gro lights & see how that goes.

I have a roughly 40 X 30 full sun, a 20 X 6 Hosta garden and a small shaded area and another corner spot about 10 ft each way that is also full sun. Oh and a small 8 X 5 mostly sunny area lined by an east wall. Also have been positioning lilacs, rhododendrons, forsythia etc about the yard. Have some honeysuckle rooting in water.

I have a 3/4 acre pond that has yet to be worked on - my next project.

I live in: United States

My zone is: z5 Michigan
