I inherited the joy of gardening from my mom, although I didnt know it until I got my own yard. Whenever we visit each other (and this also includes my sister), we always walk around the yard looking at what plants are coming up. I hope to carry on the tradition with my little boys!

I play the flute in a woodwind quintet, and I really love playing the recorder.

In 2002 I created a butterfly/hummingbird garden. In 2005 I took plants from other parts of the yard to create a woodland garden. My yard is a work in progress. We lost our 2 year old son, Evan, the day after Thanksgiving 2006 to Meningitis. I hope to plant a children's garden in honor and in memory of Evan.
