Former biochemist, went into botany and science publishing, now semi-retired into horticulture. Have been working on a compendium of native species of the NE USA, and make botanical art pieces from dried, pressed, and preserved specimens. Also collect rare plants and seed for propagation and sharing. Also interested in medicinal plants/plants with economic value (textiles, dyes, food, etc.), ethnobotanical subjects.
