I live in Columbus, Ohio (Zone 6) and I dig in my 50 by 100 ft backyard as often as possible. I returned to school after 15 years to pursue my passion and now I am a graduate of the Landscape Design and Build program at Columbus State Community College. My home is a Certified Wildlife Habitat and a Monarch Waystation and I play host to multiple varieties of Birds, Butterflies, Hummers etc... So I garden without chemicals of any kind. As a result my grass is clover and dandlion infested so I have no shortage of honey bees either. In my yard very few critters are unwanted, so my American Pit Bull has developed a let them be attitude with visiting creatures, and is often found laying belly up in the sun while birds, rabbits and squirrels move around her oblivious to the fact that she is even there. There are however two exceptions... She gives a wide berth to the Spiders, as it seems she does not like them much more then I do. LOL!!! And she runs from the bees, much like my son did when he was small...

I live in: United States

My zone is: 6 Columbus Ohio
