I'm currently working on developing a small hummingbird and butterfly garden in my smaller-than-a-postage-stamp backyard in the Mojave Desert about 50 miles outside of Los Angeles. This spring (2004) I've added 'Honeycomb' and 'Royal Red' butterfly bushes, several different agastaches, salvias, bee balms, desert penstemons, and Arizona fuchsia, with more to come. Now to see what survives the summer heat here in the Mojave...
