Ive set up grow lights in every spare nook of my New York City apartment. In one room, I have a tabletop "garden," with sections for different herbs and flowers, and flowering vines climbing up the walls! You can see some pictures of it here.

I also have an outdoor garden on my fire escape, where Im growing heirloom tomatoes, strawberries, and more herbs and flowers in containers that hang down from the floor above, over the railings, and across my balcony, including some giant lambs ears (a new addition), a window box cascading with lemon thyme, and a rosemary hedgerow.

During part of the week, I tend a flower and herb garden at a house I share in the upper Hudson Valley.
