I have informal perennial gardens with rock edging and mulch pathways. The rocks are local white quartz from my father's property and are free! There is a small koi pond and another fountain water feature. I use flowering shrubs and some annuals with preference for deer resistants. I have "garden art" - nekkid bowling balls, mosiacs, gazing balls , statues and windchimes. One chime is 6 ft tall and has the best sound.My grandson has his own garden in the back that is a "Zoo garden", all the plants have animal names: zebra grass, elephant ears, deer fern, foxgloves, etc.
