Hi Im a 34-year-old disabled Male living with my partner and two kids (1boy & 1girl) in Buckinghamshire, England, United Kingdom. When people first see our garden the first things they see before any other plants etc are our collection of named varieties of Irises and lots of roses as these are our favorite plants.

I have always been interested in gardens and allotments, So many years ago i put myself through college doing gardening. After that, i worked for the National Trust for a few years until i started my own gardening maintenance round which i had for several years with loads of customers.

During the slow periods (Winter) i used to work behind the bars at our local civic centre until one year we had loads of rain causing a lot of floods in the Autumn and then even more rain and floods during the Winter and the following Spring which kept me away from gardening for months.

Due to this, we decided that the bar work would be regular income for the family so i applied and became the manager of our local sports and social club.

Where i was happy running the day to day work of the club and the bar and on occasions i also got out and done some gardening for people here and there.

Now Im unable to work due to being disabled and diagnosed with FMS (Fibromyalgia), Sciatica which means that physically Im unable to do much due to the more i do the more pain i get as well as constantly having muscle spasms etc.

So nowadays i have to take it easy and with the help of my family i collect named varieties of Irises and we also grow our own veggies and salad on our allotment and a salad area in the garden.

I live in: United Kingdom

My zone is: Bucks UK

My favorite forum 1 is Iris.
