My new garden is a high-plains desert (5000 ft elevation), xeric, naturalistic garden (well, mostly). Besides the Penstemons, Gaillardias, and roses, I grow native grasses such as little bluestem and blue grama, shrubs like rabbitbrush and artemisias, Agastaches, yuccas and prickly pear, native asters, etc.

Roses: I grow several varieties of gallicas, HPs, Austins, Canadian Explorers, Parkland series, rugosas, albas, damasks, some species, and a couple of modern floribundas.
