My husband and I have just purchased a home with a fair sized backyard (for a modern California neighborhood). The yard had been abandoned, nothing but knee-high weeds (star thistle! ick!), Bermuda and crab grass. So were staring from scratch!
My passion started with roses, and they continue to be my focus. But the more I garden, the more I learn to appreciate other plants (and lawn) as well. I am also really getting into soils and am enjoying learning how to improve what weve got.
My husband is the digital camera geek, so he does an excellent job of documenting our work on our yard. Ive included a link to my Garden Picture Journal, which does a pretty good job of showing each step in our journey to a Garden Paradise!
