I began gardening in 1998, after becoming a displaced factory worker and while caring for my elderly mother with dementia. I have 4 grown children, 4 grown step-children, and 15 grandchildren. My mother passed away in late 2006. I garden just outside the city limits of South Bend, Indiana, not far from the shadow of the Golden Dome.
