I have gardened all my life. Lived in several states but am back home in NM and loving it! I have had wonderful yards in Carlsbad and Roswell. Am started over just outside Alamogordo in 2000. Our property is very rocky and I am not having as easy a time as I did before! But it is looking better every season. (update I have been here 7 years now and it looks fabulous!) Our property is about an acre and we have cactus and native plants. Our front courtyard includes 30 roses, iris, and many assorted annuals. I love the English garden meets southwest look. I also quilt and love hiking. There are so many beautiful places to hike in NM. I live in the desert, but can be in the mountains in 15 minutes.
