We have a small front yard (think postage stamp) on a corner and NO back yard. We have no true gardens at this time but we are planning and trying for more.
Here’s what we do have two 3’X 5’ crates that are divided into 6 boxes with vegies growing (tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers). This year we put in a semi-raised 90 gal. pond that is home to 3 eating machines aka: Comets and many plants (water lilies, water hyacinth, water lettuce, a bog iris and parrot feather [Thanks Bonnie]), in the bed around the pond we have planted tropical, annuals an oriental lily and 2 day lilies. We have a small area with a day lily and daisies. All our other plants are in pots, a mini rose, 2 tea roses, hibicus, larkspur, iris, desert rose, hostas, oriental and day lilies, and a flowering bush (ok it’s a stick with leaves but we have our fingers crossed).
The house is littered with garden junk - bowling balls, 1 gal. plastic jugs, glass items for totems, paint, glue, big spools and copper wire all gathered and collected but still to be started, we did finish 1 project it is a lighthouse made from small terra cotta pots and a nite lite that is out by the pond. But the best laid plans ..... yadda yadda yadda ....... we’ll get there when time permits (read that as "we work to much").
Our dreams are BIG but Our yard is small ...
As you may have noticed I use the terms We and Our alot as we are GF & BF and both use this account, that is why you may notice 2 differant "styles" in our postings.
