Well I have had the "Hosta" habbit for over 10 years now, as our back yard is heavily shaded. It has been quite a challenge, but first got introduced to Hosta by Jean and Pete Ruh, yes the Hosta Icons themselves. They have a Hosta farm in the Cleveland area (Chesterland, OH) and they are just lovely people. On my first vist to them, Jean gave me European Wild Ginger right out of her personal bed up at the house. They have hearts of gold, those folks, and I consider it an honor to have had the opportunity to vist and learn from them.
My friends have nickednamed me the "Hosta Queen" as I have made it my hobby, collecting different varities and at last count I have 121 and will be adding more this season.
