I garden in zone 7B Georgia. I try to use at least 80-90% natives for two reasons, first but not foremost is the environmental impact, secondly, I'm lazy. I like to plant once and never again. Fussy plants don't live long around me. They are unusual in the home landscape because of the over planting of exotics, and I enjoy telling people that the beautiful plant they are asking about is a "weed" they cut down in their yard.

My exotic "weakness" is daylilies. I love them. I try to limit them, but they are still beauties.

I have two young boys and a lazy dog.

I have a new garden endeavor, a new house. The kids have named it "muddy mountain." Give me a year and a sharp shovel and it will be lovely.
