I am a second year gardner. I planted a very beautiful garden last year mainly consisting of Roses and Perenials. Now i'm sitting back waiting anxiously for this years results.
I'm now into my third year rose bed. Last year was horrible - The michigan summer was horrible with cold weather-rainy days and cold nights. Made for fighting black-spot virtually impossible. We are experiencing a bit of a early spring - the roses have been uncovered - but kept some mulch and leaves as I'm sure there will be some cold weather still.
I also enjoy birds and butterflys. I have 14 feeders - trying to get a group of pileated woodpeckers to the bird feeders as we do have all the other woodpeckers you find in northern michigan. I plan on planting more butterfly plants this year and basically just can't wait until the nice weather is here to stay.

I live in: United States

My zone is: z4 MI
