I am an public school elementary teacher of the primary grades. I am a farmer's kid who lives in a small town within 30 minutes of larger municipalities. I am fascinated by epiphyllums, but not very successful yet, am determined to get plants into flower. I like to start my own annual seeds, this year with success with heating cables and lights. We have some great plant nurseries in our area. Married, with a family. Live on a budget. Performing music, creating fine art, and gourmet cooking are big interests, too. We are a 4-H family. I have been searching GardenWeb Forums for a couple months now. Thanks for all the help! I am already far ahead of where I was in previous Springs. Who'd have thunk, seed starting withcoffee filters in ziploc bags! I have 500+ snapdragon (Thompson & Morgan "Royal Bride" and Plants of Distinction "Cinnamon Bronze")and some stock and petunia seedlings thanks to you all! My front yard has some great zone 6 microclimes, too. This is a great place for help!
