I retired as pastor of a small country church in October. I retired last week as the medic supervisor for a volunteer ambulance squad after 14 years. I do national disaster respomse and recovery for my denomination which takes me all over the country. i am widowed the mother of ten and grandmother of 32 and greatgranmother of three boys. I was too busy to have a garden all these years and so now am starting all over again. Live on aplace where the house is about 140 years old and the yard was bare
I started a garden in 2001 and 9/11 intervened and I lost the growing season as I was deployed to DC for 6 months. Started again in 2002 and didnt harvest any seeds that year either as I had a heart attack and bypass and almost died. So started again this year and hope to get my beds in shape as I can get help as I have two bad knees. I Will have a garden to enjoy in my old age I am determined and I appreciate all the lovely giving sharing people here who do sase and postage for plants because they have helped me get started again. I do small trades often and appreciate others who are willing to share with newer people by doing smaller trades and I have little as yet to trade in seeds or plants but hope to have more next fall to share with others Blessings on all Shirley
