Retired automotive worker. Intrests are: building/designing an oriental garden in my yard with water-features. Favorite plants include mosses, ferns, Rhodos (azaleas), Jap. maples,pines and aquatic plants plus other plants that catch my eye. Last years favorite find was Cham. pisifera Squarrosa Minima(miniature moss false cypress). Next years projects include building a Jap. tea house and second pond with a feeder stream. Making some hyper-tuffa pots and rekindling an intrest in Bonsai. And drive a race car. Would like to visit Kyoto Japan to see some of their fantastic gardens. Favorite books include:
The Japanese Garden_L.Kuck, Moss Gardening_G. Schenk, Ferns for Amer. Gardens_J. Mickel, Art of Setting Stone_Keane, The Japanese House_H. Engel. Last years problems included a thread-algea problem in my pond. Would like to communicate with others with similar intrests.
