Aloha,Howdy. I'm married, (32 years), have a wonderful son (17) and a Black Lab that loves to keep me safe while I am outside(Usually from under a shade tree). Recently retired and able to devote more time to things I love and catch up on my honey do list. I have been a Master Gardener (until time demands got to tough) and continue to learn of plants and critters for the last twenty or thirty years. Raised on a working farm in Northeast Tennessee. Worked in the Gulf of Mexico for 20+years. Had one of the few Gardens in the Mid City area of New Orleans for lots of years. Wonderful soil. Got married and moved up to Virginia to take care of my Grandmother for her last years. When she passed over, the heirs wanted to sell the place,...so my wife and I purchased it and decided to settle where my roots run all the way to bedrock. We decided to have a child and raise same here in Snowflake, Va. A place 25 years behind real time and wonderful people to call friends. Related to half the county and know most of the others. Raise most of what I need and forage and hunt for other parts. Love to cook, bake, and enjoy the beauty of the mountains. Garden and raise all kinds of plants, flowers, and trees. Not to mention brambles. I can and freeze for lack of trust in our prepared supermarket venues (and wanting a good start for my son). Have been an Assistant Scoutmaster here for 12+years, and have rambled on long enough!
