I am mom to 2 elementary school-age boys and teacher to dozens of high school-aged girls who are also mothers.

I have been quilting since the fall of 2003 and have progressed from a borrowed machine to a basic Singer and now to a Janome.

We live in suburbia, but I desire to move onto some acreage someday. I'm pacifying myself until then by learning to grow some food in my little yard. Last summer I grew strawberries and tomatoes along the side of the house. Next year I plan to add pole beans and ???. I want to have chickens, too--but I'm pretty sure the neighbors wouldn't like it. (That and the dogs around here are loud enough without chickens to bark at!)
