I come from a family of frustrated gardeners - if you can grow anything in our cold winters/hot, humid summers, you are a successful gardener! My husband and I finally have an empty nest so I have time now for my garden. Though my husband doesn't share my love of gardening (he's an avid biker - a Lance Armstrong wannabe), he's willing to build/dig, etc. for me for my gardens. I plant for the hummingbirds and have five feeders around my house. I can spend hours on my patio swing watching them in the garden.
