Recently retired from a long sports career.

I live on the waterfront at the base of a steep hill that until recently has been a complete mess.

I finally have the time to clean up around the house and time to garden.

Unfortunately I suffer from terminal black thumb, thats terminal for the plants not me.I have great trouble keeping anything alive.

Garden is dominated by a beautiful old Moreton Bay Fig that gives dappled shade over part of the garden. There are also advanced Lilly Pili trees just outside the canopy of the Moretan Bay and a row of Melaleuca trees and Palm trees near the water.

So far I have done nearly all the retaining walls, steps and paths and amazingly nothing has collapsed yet.

I made a mountain of compost and have done about 25% of soft gardening. Compost turned to weeds so now I have intermingled weeds and dying plants, that creates a nice efect.

There is a huge patch of bamboo that is next to be tackled.

I live in: Australia

My zone is: NSW Aust
