I am a mother of three beautiful children. I have 2 girls that are 8 and 11. I have a son who is 3 years old. I love to plant flowers and grow from seed. Although Im no expert!! Im really a newbie and have so many plants with so little real knowledge about them. I am enjoying the learning process..a bit frustrating at times but have found a wealth of help here at the Garden Web. Ive met and made so many new friends. Ive recently became fixated with cactus and succulents. I have not actually tried to grow my own yet, but plan to soon. I have lots and lots of lilies and bulbed perennials. My oldest daughter (11) has already been blessed with a green thumb. She spends alot of time with me in the gardens. She also names my cacti and succulents. We have an Archibald hens and chicks...Mergatroid...Cortex..Bessie to name a few. View every plant as if it were the first time you looked at it, I do and I get excited about what it will look like when its bigger or if it spreads here or there. It puts things in perspectve when you can stare at a simple flower and still find something new after years of passing observation. Tess
