I am a full time gardener for a private estate here in Saugatuck, Michigan. I live nearby, thru the woods in a small cabin with a pond, but I have an office here on the property. The owner lives by himself here and I pretty much decide on what goes in the gardens. I have to call in help for a week in the spring, otherwise I do it all, including the lawn. The owner likes different plants, things that you would not see in the neighbors lawns. We live right by Lake Michigan and our climate is a little warmer for that. I do watercolor paintings of flowers and attend classes once a week. I love lillies the most. Have a dog who plays with the owner's dog and rips thru my gardens wrecking everything in sight. I found the answer, a super soaker squirt gun! I force about 50 Amaryllis in the winter to move to the main house. And I love to grow pumpkins out here. We have 497 acres here. Mostly woods.
